Beard Competition in York County, South Carolina: Supporting Mental Health and Local Causes

The York Beard and Mustache Club is devoted to eliminating the stigma of mental health. During their second annual Keystone event, they are raising funds for the York County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The Keystone Beard and Mustache Championship was a great success, both for the Beard Club and for NAMI of York County. The Adobe Acrobat Viewer (free from Adobe) allows users to view and print PDF documents.

Connecting with local writers who may be interested in your cause and hiring them to read their works is a great way to spread awareness. Many of the local restaurants in your community are likely eager to partner with your nonprofit or charity to attract customers and make a difference. This is an excellent opportunity for corporate partners to get involved and promote competition among their teams. York County's NAMI strives to improve the quality of life for all people affected by mental illness, according to program director Danielle Dennis. For its part, the York Beard and Mustache Club has members who spend their time touring breweries, drinking and competing in facial waxing contests. The York facial hair club is making a positive impact on the community by supporting local charities and causes.

Through their efforts, they are helping to raise awareness about mental health issues and providing resources to those in need. By partnering with local businesses, they are also creating a fun and competitive atmosphere that encourages people to get involved.
